Welcome to The Journey of a Thousand Mistakes.
My name is Guillaume Sauvé.
I’m so grateful that you’re here. I’ve been thinking of doing this for so long, but I just kept finding excuses not to do it. But this is it.
This will be the best year ever. Why? Because I’ve finally decided to take my life to the next level, to feel that vibrancy, that aliveness we all crave. We put it off because we think we always have another day, but we don’t know what life brings. We make mistakes. We fail. We succeed. So much happens. We get so stuck in the moment, that we forget to plan for the future, to live that amazing life. But that’s just what life is…
That’s why I like to think of it as a journey of a thousand mistakes. You can fail over and over and over again, but that’s okay. That’s actually what brings so much excitement, enjoyment in life. But at the same time, we need some structure. That’s why I’m doing this. Every week for the next fifty-two weeks, I’m going to challenge myself.
This first week I’m gonna fast. For seven days, I won’t eat anything. At least, I’m gonna try not to. I don’t know if I’m gonna succeed or not, but I’m hoping that doing this show is to help motivate me to really surpass myself, to do things I never thought I could. I hope that it can help inspire you to take your own challenge, to take your own life to the next level, to really feel alive.
I’d like to mention I like to improvise. And that’s what life is. An improvisation. So this is going to improvised. I’m probably gonna stumble, fail, mess up. But that’s okay because I want you to learn that’s part of life. It’s okay if you’re not perfect. I just did my first live video a few minutes ago and it was horrible. I hated watching it. I felt like I was squinting. The lighting was bad. It was horrible. But I didn’t delete it. I left it there, even though no one watched it yet because I’m just starting out and I don’t have an audience. But it’s okay. It’s just me. That’s who I’m doing it for in the beginning. Just for me. Later on, maybe I can affect other people, help them become better. If not, that’s okay. It’s good for me. If it helps others, that’s awesome. We’ll see what happens.
I feel like I’m repeating myself, so I’m going to stop this here. Every week for the next fifty-two weeks of the year, I’m going to release one episode explaining what my challenge was for that week, and what I learned from that, the mistakes I made and everything. Maybe you can glean some useful information from that, and if you want to follow along, please do so. It’s going to transform your life. I know it.
